My name is Albert, and I’m the founder of Superior Division, an all-natural grooming brand based in California. I started Superior Division in 2023 with a simple mission: to create hair and beard products that deliver professional-level performance without the harmful chemicals found in most grooming lines.
My background as a full-time firefighter paramedic gave me a front-row view of how important clean and safe products are — especially for those constantly exposed to harsh environments and toxins. I wanted to create something that reflected that lifestyle: a product that could stand up to the heat, sweat, and long hours of first responders, while being completely natural and skin-safe.
Our first product was an all-natural pomade, handcrafted from high-quality ingredients designed to provide hold, texture, and nourishment. About a year and a half later, we expanded our line with an all-natural mustache and beard wax, using the same philosophy of purity, simplicity, and performance.
Each product contains only a handful of natural ingredients — such as hydrogenated castor wax, beeswax, lanolin, vanilla, and bentonite clay — chosen for their ability to style, protect, and strengthen hair without irritation. There are no synthetic fragrances, parabens, or harsh chemicals in anything we make.
Our brand began gaining momentum organically within the first responder community. During firefighter training sessions, people noticed that our pomade didn’t run, sting, or cause burning when sweating — unlike many commercial products. Firefighters also appreciated that it was fully natural, helping them minimize exposure to potential carcinogens, which is an ever-present risk in their line of work.
What started as a small idea soon became something much bigger. Word spread quickly among fire departments, and we began receiving orders from first responders all over the country. Today, Superior Division ships nationwide, and our products have become a trusted part of many firefighters’ daily routines.
